Audience Research - Group

We used the website Survey Monkey to create a survey about are genre choice and film treatment. Survey Monkey was useful as it let us create a survey for free with are ten questions on. Here are the responses we got:










For question 1, we simply asked 'what is your favorite genre?'. We asked this just so we could get an idea of our audience and the films they like to watch.














In question two, we asked the audience what there favorite movie opening was. Two people responded Saw with otheres suggesting a more comedic route with Monsters inc and Knocked Up responses. This question wsa helpful as it allowed us to see the opinions of the audience of their favorite film opening, which it was we are creating for our coursework.











This was question 8 of our survey. We asked if the audience enjoyed ghost films and the 58% of them said yes whereas the otheres said no. This was helpful as it tells us if doing a ghost film would be a popular choice and it looks like it will be.












This was are final question in our survey and it asks the audience if our treatment would appeal to them. Most of them said that the treatment sounds interesting which is a good sign. In contrats there were two people who thought it wouldnt appeal to them but luckily ten others disagreed.

Treatment rough version - Group

Group of people are daring each other to do things and one gets dared to say bloody mary 3 times into a mirror she does this and nothing happens, then one of the other girls who didn't say it later while at home gets killed by having her eyes clawed out in the mirror. this then leads to several more  before the girl who originally says it sees bloody mary however her boyfriend breaks the mirror before bloody mary is able to kill her. they think its all over however 6 months later we see her following the girl, this is where the film ends.

I am confused - I am looking for your technical analysis and detailed product analysis, and from what I can see, you have done this to the same film? You should at this stage have 4 different (and closely related to your concept) film openings that are analysed on the blog (2 each).

You need to address this quickly - before you do your pitch.

Also - the analysis that are there are not detailed enough. You must make an effort to ensure that your planning is detailed as it will improve your final outcome as you will be informed and "inspired". I like your concept, but it needs to be developed further.

Treatment - Group

A 16 year old girl is being followed by a serial killing ghost, or that's what she thinks anyway. Nobody believes her until her best friends are brutally murdered with the words 'Death is Coming' smeared onto the walls.She starts to become paranoid over every little thing which happens in her life with her boyfriend still refusing to believe in ghosts as he is 'too old' to believe in them. He starts to worry for his girlfriend and opts to take her too his house where she will be safe. When she arrives she witnesses her boyfriend committing suicide but as she tries to release him from the rope she realises there is something not quite right about him.

This was are original idea and has recently been improved.
